The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Western Railway, Jaipur has released Engagement of Apprentices Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) for 2008 Act Apprentice training slots for the year 2026-27. This is apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, not a regular railway job. Candidates with Class 10 and an ITI trade certificate can apply online. Warning: Choose a unit that has slots for your ITI trade. The notification says you cannot change your application after final submission. Multiple applications will lead to rejection of all applications.

Educational Qualification

  • Class 10 pass (or equivalent under the 10+2 system) with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised Board. No rounding off will be done.
  • National Trade Certificate in the notified trade, issued by NCVT or SCVT.
  • You must hold the required qualifications from a recognised Board or institute on the date of submitting the application. Candidates awaiting final results should not apply.

Stipend and Training Details

The training period and stipend will be as per rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time. The exact stipend amount and training duration are not mentioned in the official notification. No hostel accommodation is provided.

Important: Training does not give any right to absorption or employment in the Railways after completion.

Selection Process

  • OBC caste certificate and Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026 (Annexure II), plus OBC declaration (Annexure IIA)
  • EWS certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure III)
  • Discharge certificate for Ex-Servicemen, or the parent’s discharge or serving certificate for their children
  • Disability certificate from a competent Medical Board for PwBD candidates (Annexure V)
  • Medical fitness certificate (Annexure IV) signed by a Government-authorised Gazetted doctor, not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon, of a Central or State hospital

How to Apply Online

  1. Visit the official website www.rrcjaipur.in on or after 07.10.2026.
  2. Open the online application link for Apprentice Notification 04/2026.
  3. Register with your Aadhaar number, name, father’s name and date of birth exactly as in your Matriculation certificate.
  4. Enter a working mobile number and email ID. Keep both active throughout the process.
  5. Select one division/unit and your ITI trade.
  6. Upload your photograph and signature (specifications below).
  7. Pay the fee online if applicable (not required for SC/ST, PwBD and women).
  8. Download and print the application. Note your Registration Number.

  • Choosing a unit with no slots for your ITI trade.
  • Submitting more than one application, or using different details or contact information across applications. All such applications are rejected.
  • Entering a name or date of birth that differs from the Matriculation certificate. This can lead to cancellation and debarment.
  • Applying with less than 50% aggregate in Class 10.
  • Applying before your ITI result is declared.
  • Waiting for the last day. RRC accepts no responsibility for website congestion near the deadline.

Important Instructions

  • Canvassing in any form disqualifies the candidature.
  • Fake or false certificates can lead to discharge at any stage, even after selection.
  • No travelling or daily allowance is paid for document verification.
  • After selection, requests to change division, unit or trade will not be considered.
  • Before training starts, the selected candidate (or the guardian, if a minor) must sign a Contract of Apprenticeship.
  • Important messages are sent by email and SMS, and are treated as read by the candidate.

Beware of fake websites: Apply only through the official RRC Jaipur website. The notification does not ask for any payment other than the ₹100 fee, which is paid through the official online gateway.
